Happy Lap is a small operation run by one person, offering free passenger experiences at organised events on a wet skid pan. It is not an NDIS provider and nothing is billed to anyone's plan. Every question about your information goes to the same place: alex@happylap.com.au.
Registering your interest: your name and email, an optional phone number, who you are registering for, the passenger's first name, an age range and a general location if you give them, and anything you choose to write about support requirements or what would make the day great for them.
Contacting us or asking about sponsorship: your name, your email, an optional phone number, your organisation if there is one, and your message.
Closer to a ride day, by email: a short conversation about access needs, anything health-related that matters on the day, an emergency contact, and what you are comfortable with regarding photos and video.
This is the most sensitive information Happy Lap holds, and it is only requested once a day is actually being planned. You can share as little as you like.
To reply to you, to plan a day that works around the passenger, and to keep everyone safe in the car. Nothing is sold, shared for marketing, or used to advertise to you anywhere.
One person reads what you send. Getting it there involves the ordinary services any small website relies on: a form service that delivers this site's forms to email, an email provider that hosts the inbox, and a web host that runs the site and keeps basic technical logs.
None of them use your information for anything of their own. Happy Lap can tell you exactly which providers these are if you would like to know.
On the day itself, the event organisers run their own sign-on paperwork. That paperwork is theirs, not Happy Lap's.
There is none. No advertising, no tracking pixels, and no analytics watching what you do. The only thing stored on your device is your choice of display options, if you set any, and that stays on your device.
Information sent through this site travels over an encrypted connection. What arrives is held in a password-protected inbox and device that only one person can open, with two-factor sign-in switched on. Health and access details are never posted publicly, never shared with other participants, and never given to sponsors.
Registrations stay on the list until you say you are no longer interested, or until it is clear a ride is not going ahead. Health and access details are deleted once a ride day has passed, unless you would rather they were kept for next time.
Send an email and ask for any of the following. No reason is needed, and none of it affects your place on the list.
The minimum age for passengers is 12, set by the event organisers, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to consent. Where the passenger is under 18, their information is handled with the parent or guardian.
Raise it directly and it will be fixed. If that is handled badly, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner takes complaints at oaic.gov.au.
